Whats the Difference??

What is the difference between lypossage, synergie, lipodissolve (mesotherapy), and liposuction?
SYNERGIE
Known as the Cellulite Solution, FDA approved Synergie can provide temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. It uses a type of vacuum massage technology that reduces inches. A typical treatment program consists of twice-weekly sessions of 30 minutes each, followed by monthly maintenance visits. The Synergie client, who wears a spandex compression suit to help the machine glide more easily across the skin, and lays on a typical massage type table, is “vacuum massaged” by a technician orchestrating a suction wand. This treatment manipulates collagen, the fibrous protein constituent of skin, cartilage, bone, and other connective tissue, and speeds metabolism through increased blood flow. The results are smoother skin texture by the reduction of the appearance of cellulite. There have been reports of some bruising and pinching or hurting in more sensitive areas. Still, results can be a 6-12 inch reduction in body girth overall, in only 18 – 25 treatments, administered twice weekly. Treatments run about $95.00 each.
LYPOSSAGE
Lypossage, first introduced by Charles W. Wiltsie, is a blend of massage modalities derived from physical therapy, lymphatic drainage and deep tissue massage. Lypossage is an all-natural, non-invasive, body contouring solution that cleanses the body of the stagnant lymphatic fluid that results in “clumping”. The deep massage strokes and skin folding done by a massage therapist breaks up adhesions under the skin that contribute to the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite. Lypossage also tones the muscles, lifting and firming sagging tissues. This therapy can be a bit uncomfortable but can result in a 6-12 inch reduction in body girth overall with 10-15 treatments, administered twice weekly. Treatments run about $125.00 each.
LYPOSSAGE G5 (LYPOSSAGE 3-ZONE MASSAGE MACHINE)
Unlike Lypossage, which uses hands-on manipulation by a massage therapist, the G5 rids the body of toxins through a series of vibratory and percussive therapies administered by a technician through a wand that has various inter-changeable head attachments. Each attachment has a distinct purpose designed for specific target areas. Studies have identified the benefits of lypossage as improved skin permeability, increased softness of the skin, and beneficial drainage and detoxification through the lymphatic system. These treatments tone muscles and help lift and firm sagging tissue. Treatments last from 30 minutes to one hour and are performed in a series of 18 sessions over the course of 6 weeks. Results can be a reduction of about 6-12 inches in body girth overall, administered twice weekly. Treatments run about $125.00 each.

MESOTHERAPY
Mesotherapy is a series of injections that are comprised of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, amino acids, minerals and medications. After studying Mesotherapy with renowned practitioners in Paris, Dr. Lionel Bissoon introduced Mesotherapy to the United States in the late 1990’s. By definition, any medication injected into the skin, fat, or tissues of Mesodermal (middle layer of skin) is considered Mesotherapy. These injections are administered at the hypodermic level or they can be injected directly into the fat (it varies with the condition). Mesotherapy is also effective in treating medical conditions other than cellulite, including back pain, neck pain, weight loss, migraine headaches and more. 10-15 sessions for cellulite are recommended, with one maintenance session each year. Each injection runs about $500.

LIPOTHERAPY
LIPOTHERAPY is a series of micro-injections that break down fat cells which are then processed out of the body naturally. Fat is removed by injecting PCDC, phosphatidylcholine deoxycholate, directly into the fat layer beneath the skin. PCDC is a revolutionary, synthetic replica of a naturally occurring enzyme in the body which lowers cholesterol. Fat is dissolved when administered through a process of micro-injections. PCDC has been used in medical applications since the 1950’s and has been utilized for cosmetic treatments since 1996. Since then, more than 50,000 treatments have been administered. Minor side effects have included temporary bruising, temporary pain for about 20 minutes at the injection site and a minor burning, itching or soreness immediately following the injections. Results can range between 1-1.5 inch reduction per treatment. Each injection runs about $500.00.
The above mentioned therapies may also be combined with contour wraps for more enhanced results. Above all, increased water intake will help flush out toxins, give skin the elasticity it needs and overall, refresh and rejuvenate your body. Whether you want to lose weight and inches or just a few inches in a targeted area, adding any of these procedures may just be right mix to help you shed the inches you desire.

Liposuction
Liposuction is a procedure that can help sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. During the past decade, liposuction, which is also known as "lipoplasty" or "suction lipectomy," has benefited from several new refinements. Today, a number of new techniques, including ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL), the tumescent technique, and the super-wet technique, are helping many plastic surgeons to provide selected patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times. Although no type of liposuction is a substitute for dieting and exercise, liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that don't respond to traditional weight-loss methods.
